One More Weekend
Ten law firm owners. Two days away. One opportunity to step out of your business so you can think about where it's heading next.
Last weekend I spent two wonderful days at O’Reilly’s with a group of boutique law firm owners. We talked business, leadership, pricing, AI, marketing, teams, money and life. We walked through the rainforest, drank plenty of coffee, laughed a lot and, somewhere amongst all of that, everyone found a little more clarity.
When I got home, I did something a little impulsive.
I’ve managed to secure one more weekend in September.
If ten people want to join me, we’ll do it all again.
If not, every deposit will be refunded and we’ll save the idea for another day.
I’d love you to join us.
Where: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, Gold Coast Hinterland
Who: Just 10 boutique law firm owners
What: Two days away from the office to think, plan, learn and connect
Expect: Great conversations, practical ideas, good food, fresh air and a notebook full of plans
The goal: To head home feeling clearer, calmer and excited about what’s next.
Is this for you?
This weekend is designed for boutique law firm owners or (or any female led business really) who know that sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is step away from it for a little while.
Maybe you’re trying to work out what’s next.
Maybe you’re growing faster than you expected.
Maybe you’re feeling a little stuck.
Or maybe you’ve simply realised that it’s very hard to think strategically when your days are spent responding to emails, solving problems and looking after everyone else.
Whatever season you’re in, this weekend is designed to create something we don’t often give ourselves enough of.
Space.
So... why another Retreat?
I wasn’t planning another Retreat this year.
In fact, after packing up the cars and driving home from O’Reilly’s on Sunday afternoon, I was thinking about everything else that needed my attention. The emails. The washing. The work waiting on my desk.
But something kept nagging at me. It wasn’t just the beautiful views (although they certainly helped!). It was watching ten law firm owners give themselves permission to stop.
For two days they stepped away from their businesses, swapped ideas over coffee, walked through the rainforest, laughed far more than I expected, asked some really hard questions and left with notebooks full of plans for what comes next.
There is something really special that happens when you get ten people in a room who all understand what it feels like to run a law firm. You realise you’re not the only one.
You borrow ideas you never would have come up with on your own and you remember that the challenges you’re facing aren’t unique to you. And somehow the problems that felt enormous on Friday afternoon seem a whole lot more manageable by Sunday.
That’s why I’ve booked one more weekend. Not because I had another Retreat planned but because this one reminded me just how valuable it is to create the time and space to think.

- “The precarious drive up the side of a cliff proved to be worth it, both for the location and the content of the weekend. A reminder of what is important and things are actually pretty good, you just need to know where to look for the sparkly bits.”- Emma
- “The Retreat for me was a break from real life to really think about where my business is at and what next. Clarissa took us through a process to help us figure that out which gave me a lot of clarity. Each one of us had very different issues and the process was able to give space to each individual.” - Anna
- "The Retreat was an incredible opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, reset and gain a fresh perspective. Surrounded by such a beautiful and peaceful environment, I had the space to reflect on where my business is heading now and where I want to move it towards. I returned feeling re-energised and now feel inspired to tackle the challenges and celebrate the wins. A genuinely valuable and rewarding weekend.” - Michelle
What actually happens?
One of the things I love most about these weekends is that they don’t feel like an event. They feel like a group of friends getting together to talk honestly about business and life. There are no keynote speakers or endless PowerPoint presentations. Instead, there is space to think, to ask questions, to borrow ideas, to challenge each other’s thinking and to leave with practical changes you can actually put into practice on Monday morning. I keep the group to just ten people because, in my experience, that’s where the best conversations happen.
The Practical Bits
Friday 11 September - Sunday 13 September
O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat QLD
Maximum of 10 participants
To secure your place, simply book with a refundable deposit.
If ten places are filled over the next couple of weeks, the retreat goes ahead.
If we don’t quite get there, every deposit will be refunded in full.
Simple.
I'd love to have you there.
If you’ve been following along from last weekend and quietly found yourself thinking, “I wish I’d been there,” perhaps this is your opportunity.
Sometimes the best investment we can make isn’t another course, another book or another piece of technology.
Sometimes it’s simply giving ourselves permission to step away from the office for a couple of days, think differently and come home with a clearer plan for what comes next.
I hope you’ll join me.
