This year I am bringing back my most loved style of workshop/ training/ coaching— Mastermind Days! These days are exclusively open to all law firm leaders and are designed to help you with big ideas, products, projects or anything else to enhance your legal business.

Many moons ago, I had the opportunity to hanging out with so many fantastic lawyers in my 3 amazing Mastermind programs. I have deeply enjoyed going on this business (and personal) journey with you in getting a whole lot of stuff done. There is something to be said for being in a group when it comes to achieving your career goals. And so, for 2024 I have decided it is time for us to all come together for some more bespoke professional and personal development. 

So what are we doing you ask?

Alright, so you want to know what this Mastermind thing really is don’t you? Well, it isn’t anything that we have done before!

Our second Mastermind Day is all about planning your law firm on a single piece of paper. Planning your law firm on paper can be a great way to organise your thoughts and develop a clear strategy for the bigger picture and purpose.

This Mastermind will be all about laying out your goals, pin pointing your ideal client avatar, and finding your unique edge in the legal world. From determining your core values and vision to crafting your brand and marketing strategy, my process will help you build a roadmap for success and happiness.

Our Mastermind Facilitators

Clarissa Rayward

Hi my name is Clarissa Rayward and thank you for your interest in working with me. I am a wife, mum to two, Divorce Lawyer (don’t hold that against me!) and lover of chocolate, coffee and anything colourful! I love to write, dance and spend any free moment I have ‘crafting’ (or as I like to call it #bedazzling!)

By day I am an accredited specialist family lawyer and the Director of the Brisbane Family Law Centre (BFLC), a multidisciplinary practice where my team of lawyers work alongside counsellors and financial planners to ensure that clients receive the holistic support they need through divorce.

In my other life I run a business called ‘Happy Lawyer Happy Life’ helping lawyers around Australia to build legal businesses that have at the heart of them a happy life. I didn’t set out to be a happiness advocate in law but it seems that is just how it has all come together and in 2019 I was recognised as the 2019 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards Wellness Advocate of the Year and the inaugural winner of the Minds Court Individual Wellness Advocate in Law and in 2022 was named the Agnes McWhinney Award recipient, an award that recognises a female lawyer that has forged new pathways for themselves, their peers and/or those that they serve through a commitment to excellence, equity, professionalism and service to the community.

These days I still work with families all around Australia helping them through divorce and separation and all the bits in between. But in my ‘free time’ I am working hard to change the way lawyers practise law, to reduce our overly high rates of anxiety, depression and psychological illhealth just in case one of my girls decides this crazy career might be for her too! So there you go. Me in a few paragraphs!

Ben Deverson

Founder & Director Lawganised, Ben Deverson, has had a 28-year executive career of which over half has been managing and leading professional services firms. Prior to launching Lawganised Ben was a Principal and the Managing Director of a boutique law firm based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
 
Whilst not being a qualified lawyer, Ben is a legal practice management specialist and has gained an intimate knowledge of the challenges that law firms face day to day. Having advised over 200 law firms as clients, Ben’s strengths include business planning, practice management systems, cash flow management, process automation, human resources, performance metrics, leadership, and legal practice risk management.
 
Ben’s career has been unique in that he has held leadership and management roles from very early in his career including an Australian Army Officer, Practice Manager & Chief Operating Officer for two global accounting firms, a senior commercial manager of a major Queensland infrastructure project and Chief Executive Officer of an independent Statutory Body.
